The deputy Public Relation Executive ( PRE) of Press club Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Hassan Abdulsalam has won Basheer Tosin Ashafa scholarship for public secondary and university students indigenes of Ibeju lekki.
The award ceremony was held on Tuesday at Catalinga Company in Ikoyi, Lagos by scholar X and Basheer Tosin Ashafa (BTA) in celebrating his birthday.
BTA claimed that he wanted to help the students and bring out the skills in them, adding that he will start from where he’s originated from.
"The youths are the future leader and I need to support them in actualising their dreams, I came from Ibeju lekki and I have to start from Ibeju lekki" he said
The scholarship was given to five students out of several students that write an essay themed the history of Ibeju lekki and its importance to present day Lagos.
The selected winners are Zaynab Ayeola, Ijaodola Jamiu from Lagos state university (LASU), Hassan Abdulsalam from Moshood Abiola polytechnic (MAPOLY), Ogunbayo David, an aspirant of Federal University of agriculture, Abeokuta ( FUNNAB) and Adelaja Mariam of Lagos state junior model college Bodere.
