The students however urged the management to help their situation, saying the release will help them concentrate on school activities since the newly resumed semester would be short.
A student identified as Animashaun Adewale claimed the second semester examination is over 6month, the result is yet to be released.
He said, “The students are really complaining about the delayed in their results. This is another semester that the students will need to register their Courses, and how do you expect them to register when they haven’t seen their results.
“We plead to departmental presidents, Lecturers, And HODs to please help us look into this issue as the students are not happy with the way things are ".
Oluwatosin Ajayi an HND 2 Microbiology student said, “we want the management to take pity on us, most students are yet to resume because they haven’t seen their previous examination report, because they believe that without the result being released any form of registration cannot commence"
Also, a student identified as Babatunde Adeola appealed to the student’s representatives to help in the current situation.
He said, “I think the SUG should find solution to this our result of a thing. It is getting out of hand, we did exam since a year now with no result.
“I call on the SUG and SRC to take this up. Let the management sees reason why we need our result".
In the same vein, Aishat Opeyemi from the department of mass communication complained of not seeing the result after it was rumour to have been posted.
She said, “I heard that our result is available, they are through with the marking, but the only thing is for the result to be posted online".
Meanwhile, PCM gathered that the Students’ Union President, comrade Com. OwoIya Rasaq wrote a letter to the Rector through the acting Director of Students Affair to demand reason for the delay in release of the result.
The letter dated September 6, 2018 frowned at non-release of the result, urging the management to find an everlasting solution issue of result.
Part of the letter read, “With profound respect, the Students’ Union Government writes to inform you that, our students are being deprived of their rights after years of hardship labor.
“It is no more new that, releasing results of students in this great citadel of learning has been hell to our students before unionism was restored in this institution.
“It could be recalled that, the out gone N.D II students have graduated from this school since February 2018 and since then, they have been wandering around the streets, some are unable to obtain their HND form in the same school they had their ND programme, while others were rejected for their Direct entry to further their education to university, and other frustrating complaints.
“However, as part of our promises to our students, this set of executives will never in any ramifications fold our arms to watch the innocent students suffer for what they had labored for with pain.
“We have decided not to fix ultimatum in this letter, because we believed management of this Institution will find a lasting solution to this issue before our future are placed in jeopardy. We look forward to your earnest reply.”
