The acting Rector of Moshood Abiola polytechnic, Abeokuta, Mr. Salimon Tella has urged students of the institution to shun indecent dressing, saying it is against the principles of God.
Salimon, who spoke at the 13th prayer retreat of Muslim students’ society of Nigeria (MSSN), MAPOLY branch on Wednesday, advised the students to obey the laws of God and avoid provocative dressings.
He said "I advise students of MAPOLY to dress according to principles of God by not dressing half naked into the school premises.
"Parents should also put there children through the right path and students should also face their studies."
The acting Rector while speaking on religious conflict urged the students to embrace peace and not fight over religion.
He said "We should not segregate each other and fight over religion, we should love each other; I am from south west and we don’t fight over religion here.
"Both Christians and Muslims love each other in Western Nigeria and students should love each other."
Also, the Chairman, MAPOLY Muslim Community, Alhaji Shobore Arowolo advised students to go about with their activities on campus peacefully.
He said, "Students should not get involved in conflicts on campus; when the school is free from war, students will also have peace and be eager to learn"
"Let us all put our dear school, state and country in the hands of God in our daily prayer."
