Afolabi Wasiu popularly known as peaceman has been elected as the 39th president of the Association of Mass Communication Students for the 2023/2024 academic session.
Afolabi pulled 354 votes against his opponent, Lawall Ahmed known as Horla who pulled 203 votes, for the post of president.
The election process is supervised by the Association of Mass Communication Electoral Commission,(AMEC) with all the aspirant’s agents in attendance at the control room where the election is been monitored.
The online election process started at exactly 11:45 a.m. and ended by 3:15 p.m.
According to the AMEC Chairman, Sorunke Joel stated that the number of prospective voters was 2,139, accredited voters of 659. of which 559 voters, voted during the election process.
