Newly elected executive of the Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS) MAPOLY on Monday took an oath of office.
The oath-taking which was held at the AMACOS libra was led by the sub-dean, Barrister Rasak and the head of department, Mr Lekan Togunwa.
President, Alimat Akorede Abolande, stated her newly elected administration will work for the good of the department.
This statement was made during an interview with the Press on Monday at the AMACOS secretariat.
According to Alimat, "You all should expect a fair and transparent administration, because alot of things will be done, it will not be as usually.
"The past administration has done a whole lot of things on campus which I have also benefit from; during my own administration I will also try to build their own project which is on campus.
"I will also look into the needs of students and the project which will help them in their field of learning.
"The best thing is just to do the right thing at the right time. They are sometimes if things happen you will try as much as possible to control the situation to it" Akorede stated.
However, Mr Togunwa implored the executive to work as a team regardless of educational level and also look beyond the deals in AMACOS in order to bring out something remarkable.
The sub-Dean, Barrister Rasak also advised the executives not to do things against the school and department.
"Whatever you have to render, seek the guidance and advice of the HOD because if things goes wrong he won’t defend you".
"You’re number one and you must not go down" he added.
