The Association Of Mass Communication students (AMACOS) has expressed saddnes over the death of an ND1 student in the department.
Press Club MAPOLY gathered that the deceased, Mistura Razaq died in the early hours of Saturday after celebrating the christmas with her family on Friday.
Confirming the death in a statement, AMACOS President, Kehinde Akinbode commiserated with the family of the deceased.
He said Mistura’s mum disclosed that her daughter was hale and hearty when she suddenly started develop some strange symptoms and she was rushed to the hospital where she gave up the ghost early Saturday morning.
Akinbode however prayed for an end to untimely death in the department and the entire school.
“Association of Mass Communication Students, MAPOLY, commiserates with the entire students of the department over the demise of Rasaq Olabisi Mistura, an ND1 student with matric number 19/24/2001(stream B).
Mistura’s picture and death information was posted yesterday night by one of her course mates and AMACOS has since then trying to reach her parents for the confirmation of such bizarre news.
“However, AMACOS, few minutes ago, was able to speak with Mistura’s mum who confirmed her demise and narrated that her child was healthy until Friday, Christmas night, when she noticed a strange symptoms in her, she was rushed to the hospital and eventually gave up early Saturday morning.
“We therefore pray that God forgive the iniquities of the deceased, grant her perfect rest in Him and never allow such misery happen in our department and school again”
Meanwhile, some of the students in the department have expressed shock over the death of the deceased.
Titilayo Bolatito, the roommate to the deceased who was saddened at the death of her friend wrote on her Facebook thus.
” Can’t believe she’s gone forever, babe of life my gist guru, can’t imagine life without you, Razaq Olabisi, going to school together even though not same department.
“I indeed lost a sister lost a great sister, childhoods friend turn out to be my roommate. Ahhnnnn ko easy ooo…Morenikeji may your soul rest in al-janat Firdaous”
Opeyemi Lawal, a Mass Communication Student also expressed sadness over the death of the deceased saying that she wrote exam and never waited to see her result.
“This life don tire me she write exam she no even wait to see her result”
Also, Daramola Emmanuel Ayomide said, “Hmm God Let’s continue to thank God for life.”
Another student identified as Sammy wrote” Rip.. after all stress for arranging file, collection of exam pass, school fees so everything is gone…may ur soul rest in perfect peace 😢😥😢”
