The department of Arts and Industrial Design, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic has said one of its major challenges as unavailability of enough space.
The Head of the Department, Olayemi Bello disclosed this in an interview with the Press Club MAPOLY where he bared his mind on the current state of the department.
It should be recalled that, the department was created from the School of Environmental Studies barely four years ago.
The HOD said, beautifying the school environment with artworks, installation of cultural works and fabrication of certain machines are some of the achievements of the department.
He also said the department has produced two distinction students within the space of four years.

Speaking on the challenge of the department, the pioneer HOD, Bello, said “space is the major problem although there is also the issue of finance.l
Olayemi said the department is set to run its HND programme considering what the it has as at present.
His words “we are working tirelessly to having an HND programme, although what we have on ground is enough to run an HND programme except for personnel but then we are expanding.
“The works done by our National Diploma students can match up with that of their counterparts in 300 level at any Universities in the country,” he added.
