Aspirant absent at manifesto, allegedly hospitalized

…DSA, SUELECO sue for peace

An aspirant for the post of Assistant General Secretary, Oneafolu Chibuike Salas was absent at the manifesto programme held on Thursday at the OGD Hall ahead of Friday’s election.

Salas, who is a student of Business Administration was said to be on sick bed thus the reason for his absence.

The claim was made by the Chairman, Students’ Union Election Committee (SUELECO), Adesola Nurudeen when calling all aspirants to the podium.

Meanwhile, the Acting Director of Students’ Affairs, Townplanner Adelaja charged students and aspirants to be calm and allow peace on the day of election.

The SUELECO Chairman congratulated the students’ on the opportunity to have Students’ Union, saying such opportunity should not be mishandled.

“We are grateful to God and to the school management for an opportunity to have the students’ union we have been dreaming of in the last three years.”

He joined the Ag. DSA to plead with all students to maintain peace and orderliness, saying violent could jeopardize their chances of having students union.
