The Campus Shuttle Drivers Association, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Chapter has debunked speculations over increment in transportation fare for shuttle buses.
Speaking to Press Club MAPOLY, its Public Relations Officer, Olusola Bello said it only increased that of cab to N100 but eventually had to peg it at N70 after students refused to board it.
It would be recalled that rumours had recently started gathering outburst among students that the shuttle bus transportation fare had been increased from 50 naira to 100 naira.
A student of the Electrical Engineering who craved anonymity, however, described the cab fare increment as harsh and unfair on the students.
In his reaction, the Speaker of the Students Representative Council (SRC), Rt. Hon. Mogaji Yusuf also expressed his discontentment over this, labelling it as inconsiderate.
Yusuf, however, assured the students populace that the Students Leaders are on top of the situation and will take all necessary measures to bring back normalcy.
