As part of efforts to promote fast-data network services, Africa’s leading cellular telecommunication, MTN, has launched 4G LTE service in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.
The institution is expected to host the telecommunication organisation for 3 days during which MTN 4G LTE would be deployed to make students aware and adopt the new service network.

‘LTE offers faster download and upload speeds that will considerably improve your internet experience. With LTE you can stream music and video, upload and download faster. You can essentially use your mobile or tablet like a fixed line internet connection.’
Speaking with Press Club Mapoly, one of the MTN representatives, Adebayo Oyeyipo, noted that Mapoly the first institution in Ogun state to host the telecommunication organisation 4G campus launch this year and its ranked the 4th institution on the national grid where such invasion has been conducted.
Oyeyipo told PCM correspondent that the invasion is aimed at creating awareness for the new network service having understood that youths are in search for a comfortable network service that has fast data speed.
“the campus invasion has four major focus: MTN Pluse migration, MyMTN App download (for the best data deals) , 4G awareness and 4G SIM uograde (for 4GB free data) , MTN Smart features phone (for 8k) and smartphone upgrade (for kpalasa double data offer).”
He explained further that the 4G LTE service is an advanced- improved data service that would need an android phone, easy coverage, 4G U-sim and an active data network.
Oyeyipo said that the launching exercise would last for 3days and would features side attractions like outdoor games, competition, gifts and prizes be won after a successful tournament.
PCM correspondent who was at the launch held at the school’s Bus Shed, observed the crowd of students who gathered to participate in various competitions and tournaments as well as aquire the 4G U-sim.
