Students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic on Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme(SIWES) have been asked to resume lectures online amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Head Public Relations and Protocol of the Polytechnic, Mr. Yemi Ajibola made this known in a statement made available to Press Club Mapoly on Tuesday.
Ajibola said the students were asked to resume after the completion of their 14-weeks mandatory training which ended on the 1st of May, 2020 according to the academic calendar.
The PRO stated that lecturers have been urged to commence online learning for the students as their resumption takes effect from Monday 4th, May 2020.
He, therefore, advised all the returning SIWES students to pay their school fees immediately via the polytechnic website as they commence their online classes.
The statements read:" The National Diploma students, who have embarked on the mandatory Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), have resumed upon completion of the exercise.
"The 14-week training, which was undergone by students in SCIT, SENG, SENVS & SST, ended on Friday, 1st May 2020 in accordance with the academic calendar.
"By this development, Lecturers are advised to absorb the students for the online learning sessions, as their resumption took effect on Monday, 4th May 2020.
"Furthermore, all returning SIWES students are urged to pay up their school fees immediately via www.mapoly.edu.ng as they join the e-learning sessions.
"All students, who have completed their tuition fees, are enjoined to register via Telegram or WhatsApp platforms to fully partake in the e-learning sessions."
