The Coronavirus pandemic has forced most institutions in Nigeria to embark on E-Learning and Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta could not be left behind in the quest to keep the academic calendar running.
The Management after thoroughly examining the way forward for the stagnant 2019/2020 academic sessions calendar at an academic meeting thought it wise to key into E-Learning.
This then brought about the shift to online learning. The introduction of the learning Management System for students (LMS) which allows students to access their classes and lectures through the school portal.
Keying into this E-Learning is a laudable move by the management as the Coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage leaving tertiary institutions to remain shut.
The E-Learning option adopted by the Polytechnic will no doubt help students to cover the curriculum for the stagnant academic session as there is no fixed date for resumption yet.
Students rather sleeping and waking up at home doing nothing should be grateful to the management for coming up with the e-learning option as they will now be more engaged in their studies.
As the E-learning will afford them the opportunity to receive lectures on their mobile devices, do assignment and have their continuous assessment done online.

It is note worthy that the E-Learning has hindrances and disadvantages to which many of the students have been concerned about.
It is imperative that students strive to maximize the opportunity to learn online right now the best way they can as there will be no opportunity to really do so when school finally resumes.
While some students are already taking advantage of the E-Learning opportunity others who can have access to the E-Learning prefer not to do so but are interested in making unnecessary remarks.
Rather than continue making unnecessary complaints towards the E-Learning, students should be rather committed and be thankful to the management for coming up with the initiative.
Students in their own way need to help themselves, embrace the online learning as the new normal so they don’t continue to lag behind while their colleagues move ahead of them.
