Valentine’s day, also called Saint Valentine’s is celebrated annually on February 14th. It is a celebration of love having lovers express and profess their love for each other by presenting gifts like flowers and greetings cards to their loved ones.
Valentine’s day is not originally meant to be celebrated as a lovers day but a day honouring a Christian martyr named Saint Valentine who was beheaded for joining two lovers together in secret.
In today’s generation, Valentine’s day gives some people the opportunity to carry out their evil intentions
The first question to ask ourselves is: why did we choose a particular day to celebrate love? For me, I think it is wrong because I believe there is no time we can’t show love to others and put smiles on people’s faces.
Celebration and expression of love and affection to our loved ones should be an everyday task and not a day’s activity.
