Just IN: First year Mass Comm student dies in car accident

A National Diploma (ND1) student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta, Aminat Kalejaye has been confirmed died after involving in a motor accident.

Press Club MAPOLY gathered that the deceased was returning home from school on Friday evening when she was hit by a car at Iyana Mortuary area of Abeokuta.

PCM learnt that the she was taken to the Federal Medical center Idi-Iba Abeokuta after she had given up the ghost.

The deceased PCM gathered had since been buried according to Islamic rites.

Meanwhile, the Association of Mass Communication student led by Kehinde Akinbode in statement issued on Saturday commiserated with the family of the deceased praying that untimely death departs from the department.

"It saddens the heart receiving news on the demise of one of her students who was hit by a car yesterday evening at Iyana Mortuary.

"The deceased, who lost her life immediately was rushed to FMC Idi Aba by some of her course mates before AMACOS representatives got to the scene.

"Aminat Kalejaye has been buried according to the Islamic tradition and we pray her soul rest in perfect peace and grant her parents fortitude to bear the loss.

"Unquestionably is Almighty Allah, AMACOS Prays such mishap will depart from the department and his everlasting peace be upon us all."

However some of the friends and colleagues of the late Aminat who saw her in school before leaving for home on Friday expressed shock at the news of her death.

She was described by many as a brilliant, God fearing and friendly person.

" I saw her on Friday, she still took pictures o, may our best pictures not be used as RIP. Rest in peace Aminat"
