The Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic has announced the reduction of the Registration fee of prospective students of the Polytechnic by fifty percent.

The council revealed this on Sunday in a press statement that was released and signed by the Public Relations Officer, Yemi Ajibola.

This was after the Student leaders and some concerned students of the Polytechnic have threatened to stage a massive protest on Monday, 17th October, 2022 if the management failed to accede to their demands within 24hrs.

The reduction according to the release was as a result of the pleas of the Students Union Executives of the Polytechnic to ensure peace reign.

It reads, "The Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta has the approved reduction of registration fee payable by newly admitted students of the Institution by fifty percent.

"This was done in consideration of the pleas by the Students Union Executive of the Institution to ensure that peace pervades the Polytechnic environment.

"By this decision, the Council is optimistic of an uninterrupted ongoing examination and academic calendar.

"Therefore, all newly admitted applicants are to commence their registrations immediately ahead of the resumption of the 2022/2023 academic session."
