MAPOLY Appoints Folasade Madariola as 8th Bursar, Second Female to Hold Position

The Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta (MAPoly), has appointed Mrs. Folasade Madariola, FCA, as the institution’s 8th Bursar and second female to hold the position.

The appointment was made public through a letter signed by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Kamaldeen Balogun, marking the beginning of a non-renewable five-year term.

This appointment took effect on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, making Mrs. Madariola the second female to hold this prestigious position.

Madariola succeeds Mr. Fatai Yekini, FCA, whose term as Bursar ended on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Having joined MAPOLY’s service as an Accountant II in 1999, Mrs. Madariola has steadily risen through the ranks. Until her recent appointment, she served as Chief Accountant in the Bursary Department since 2017.

An alumna of Ogun State Polytechnic (now MAPOLY), Mrs. Madariola holds a B.Sc in Accounting from Crescent University, where she graduated with First Class Honors.

She also earned an MBA with a specialization in finance from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH).

Additionally, she is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (ACIT), and a member of Women in Technical Education (WITED).

Mrs. Madariola has made significant contributions to academics, with five scholarly publications and several conference papers to her name.

During the presentation of her appointment letter, the Rector, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji, alongside Deputy Rector Dr. (Mrs.) Yetunde Lanre-Iyanda, congratulated Mrs. Madariola and expressed confidence in her ability to succeed in her new role.
