MAPOLY ASUP Embarks on 5days warning Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, (ASUP) Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Chapter has resolved to embark on 5 days Industrial Action over the failure of the state Government to accede to their demands.

The resolution came following the Union’s meeting held today at the ASUP secretariat, MAPOLY.

A strong source revealed to Press Club MAPOLY that It is a warning strike to last for a week.

Meanwhile, all efforts to reach the ASUP Chairman, Osifalujo Babatunde to verify the claim proved abortive.

However, a Press release believed to have come from the office of the Student Union debunking the rumor of the industrial action stating that school activities continue tomorrow.

Getting across to the SUG president, Comrade Ajani Sodiq, he disclosed that the press release has been released before now that someone deliberately reposted it, changing the date.

He said, “the press release has been released before, not today, I don’t know who change the date and repost it today.”

Details later.
