The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta on Wednesday felicitated with an alumna, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein, on her appointment as the new Accountant-General of the federation.
According to a press release signed by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Yemi Ajibola, the institution celebrated with her as she was being appointed as the substantive Accountant-General of the federation by President, Muhammadu Buhari(retd), on Thursday.
Madein was among the first generation of students admitted into the Accountancy Department in 1982 and graduated with Higher National Diploma in 1988.
The duo of the Rector Dr. Adeoye Odedeji and the Bursar, Mr. Fatai Yekinni FCA were in the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation to deliver the congratulatory letter on behalf of the Polytechnic.’
The Rector of the institution, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji attributes her appointment, as a testimony to hard work, faithfulness, contentment, and integrity which is the core values of the profession that she choose to study when she applied as a student of Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta).
“Your tenacity to uphold the qualities of a good upbringing, not only to promote where you are coming from but to protect and project your source, which has distinguished you and has written your name in gold.
“The letter further described her as a worthy Ambassador of the Polytechnic and a good reference to the upcoming generation”.
However, the governing council, management, staff, and students of the polytechnic wished her success in her new office.
