MAPOLY Honours Former Rector, Arc Tokunbo Fowode As He Clocks 65, Retires From Service

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, has honored a former rector of the Institution, Arc Tokunbo Fowode Ayodele, as he clocks 65th years and retired from service.

MAPOLY held a valedictory program, which was held at the institution’s Otunba Gbenga Daniel, OGD hall, for the ex-rector on Friday, 2nd of February, 2024.

Arc Fowode was honored by prominent individuals which included the commissioner of education, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu, Oba Dr. Toye Alatunse, who was the Royal father of the day, arc Sunday Oladipupo, NIA Chairman Ogun state, the Rector of the Institution, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji, Rector of D.S Adegbenro Polytechnic, Dr Goke Rauf, former rector of the Institution, Arc Waheed Kadiri among other dignitaries.

He was also celebrated by his family and friends.

Arc Fowode was appointed, in 2006 by the former governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

His appointment was renewed for the second term on the 10th of May, 2010 till May 9, 2014.

He joined the service of the Polytechnic as lecturer III in Sept. 1983 and had served the Institution in various capacities as Head of Department, Director of School, and other service units.

He was a one-time member of the institution’s Governing Council representing the academic community.
