The Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta has congratulated the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun on the twin occasion of his 60th birthday and 365 days in office.
The management gave kudos to the Governor on Friday in a statement signed by the Head Public Relations and Protocol of the polytechnic, Mr. Yemi Ajibola.
Governor Abiodun was lauded for his indelible achievements in the polytechnic as well as the education sector.
The management also commended the Governor for his intervention in MAPOLY crises and returning the institution to the status quo.
"Under his administration within 365 Days, laudable achievements, especially in Education and particularly in MAPOLY have been recorded.
"The institution, which was on the verge of extinction, was revived with his timely intervention for Returning it to Status Quo Ante by Law.
"This singular pronouncement necessitated the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to Revalidate and Reinstate the Institution for Full Academic Activities with the full support of the State Government.
" By this development, the Government of Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, gave approval of bailout funds to settle ten months backlog of Salaries to MAPOLY Staff, owed by the immediate erstwhile administration.
"To further ensure enabling academic environment in the Polytechnic, Palliative Work on MAPOLY Campus Road was initiated and completed while the allocation of 100 Hectares of Land for Anchor Borrowers Programme to MAPOLY Staff & Students was also approved."
The Acting Rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji described the Governor as "Moses to the Egyptians" regarding his impact on the development of the Polytechnic.
Dr. Odedeji pledged that the "Institution shall continue to key into the Standard Educational projects of Ogun State as we support in Building our Future Together".
The Rector also prayed that the Almighty God satisfy the Governor with long life and strengthen him to fulfill his destiny.
