The Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta has announced Monday, January 18th as the resumption date for students.
Head Public Relations and Protocol of the Polytechnic, Mr. Yemi Ajibola made the announcement in a statement made available to Press Club MAPOLY on Saturday.
Ajibola said the resumption is in line with the official declaration of the Federal Government that schools resume on Monday amidst the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He reteirated that there will be strict compliance to all the COVID-19 protocols adding that no entry will be allowed for any student who fail to adhere to the preventive measures on campus.
"In line with the official declaration for students to resume on Monday, 18th January, 2021, the Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta hereby reiterates absolute compliance with all COVID-19 protocols.
"Management further warns that no entry would be granted to anyone into campus without strict adherence to the preventive measures to curtail the spread of coronavirus.”
Ajibola urged students to take proactive measures within the Polytechnic while resuming on Monday upon the looming second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"As initially established, Members of Staff, Students and other stakeholders are to take cognizance of the following, regular hand washing, compulsory wearing of nose mask, using of hand sanitizer, maintaining Physical/Social distancing etc.
"Also, members of staff should avoid inter-office visitations or conversations except for official purposes, as defaulters of any preventive measures would be sanctioned."
The PRO however advised students to complete their registrations and acquaint themselves with the abridged academic calendar for the 2nd Semester, 2019/2020 academic session.
