Drivers and the students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic have extended their gratitude to the governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun over the new face of the road leading to the institution from Iyana Oloke.
A driver who identified himself as Adenekan Adebayo told PRESS CLUB MAPOLY that the road damaged a lot of buses on campus before being given a new face.
He added that some of the drivers have left the school due to the bad status of the road.
He said, “Before our motor used to spoil, but now we’ve not experienced such, and our motor is getting better and it is moving freely. Because of the bad road, some drivers have left the school, but now we are encouraging them to come back again because of the good road.”
On his part, the secretary of the Campus Shuttle Association, Mr. Oluwaseun Ayodele confirmed that the situation on the road has made many drivers leave the school.
He said, ”Before, we hardly saw 6 to 7 buses that come to school due to the bad road. Some will even say that they cannot come because of the bad road.”
A student of civil engineering, Olayiwola Olajide, said the resurfacing of the road has made transportation to the school so easy without delay.
“For instance, as I was coming to school this morning when I took the bus from Panseke Junction, there was no stress at all,” he said.
