Students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic will be dual certificated upon graduation says the school management.
This, it was gathered, is in line with the requirements approved by the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) to sustain the hands-on policy of technical and vocational training (TVET).
According to the management, this comes after the polytechnic secured about N245 million to construct a contemporary centre for skill acquisition and vocational training to the benefit of all students and artisans.
The project comprises of three software laboratories, two mini training units and one multi media laboratory/studio.
The management revealed to Press Club MAPOLY that this will give students of the polytechnic double certificates: one in their chosen professional field and the other will be vocational skills acquired from the institution.
It will be recalled that vocational skills acquisition started in MAPOLY in 2007 with thousands of students having benefited from learning different vocational skills.
