Authorities of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic will in the 2017 fiscal year target a total of N3.2 billion as internally generated revenue.
The IGR will come from the sales of change of course forms, second choice forms, etc. to applicants and students of the institution.
Rector of the polytechnic, Prof. Oludele Itiola stated this while defending the 2017 Budget proposal of the institution before the State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation recently.
Itiola also said the institution is planning to add seven new departments to the institution.
The Rector explained that the new departments would include an Agriculture department and six others.
He added that the departments would be coming up as soon as accreditation is done by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
He further said that the school would also spend N30 million on the construction of polytechnic second main gate.
He said this is in a bid to protect the properties of the institution.
