…as Mgt. releases new Academic calendar

The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta has released the new date for the 2016/2017 Second Semester examination.
The first phase of the examination which is to commence November 6th, 2017 would begin with all HND full time and part time, while ND 1 students going on SIWES would also write the exam with them.
It would be recalled that the examination which was scheduled to begin on September 18th was indefinitely postponed by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, ASUP, MAPOLY Chapter over the crisis that surrounded the conversion of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic to Moshood Abiola of University and Science and Technology and establishment of Ogun Poly, Ipokia.
However, following the two- week ultimatum given to the Ogun state government to fulfill the Union’s demand, the management released a new Academic calendar to complete the second semester Academic session.
According to the new calendar, academic activities for the second semester have begun on 23rd October and would ends on 9th December, 2017.
The first and second phases of the examination are expected to hold from 6th – 25th November, and 27th November – 9th December, 2017 respectively.
Part of the New Calendar reads, “The first phase is for (i) all full time and part time HND Students in all Schools. (ii) All full time and part time ND1 students in School of Engineering, School of Environmental Studies and School of Science and Technology. (iii) All full time and part time ND1 students in Office Technology Management; (iv) only full time ND1 students in Mass Communication.
“The second phase is for: (i) All full time and part time students in SBMS (ii) All part time ND1 students in Mass Comm.
“SIWES programme for ND1 students in four schools except School of Business and Management Studies is expected to hold between 27th November, 2017 to 2nd March, 2018.
