Students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic are set to vote in new leaders into the 2019/2020 academic session today.
The voting processes is expected to commence with accreditation by 8:00am, were all students and aspirants are expected converge at the ICT complex.
Eligible voters have been instructed to come with 1st semester examination pass as well as the original school fee receipt.
Meanwhile, in a release signed by the School’s Public Relations Officer, Yemi Ajibola, the Academic Board of the institution has affirmed the position of Students Union to hold Election on Friday, 20th December, 2019 without National Diploma students occupying elective positions but can vote for candidates of their choice.
He said that the decision on "doctrine of necessity" was ratified at the emergency Academic Board meeting held today Thursday, 19th December, 2019 in view of the election situation, which will hold tomorrow at the ICT hall from 8.00am to 4.00pm.
"By this development, all eligible voters, aspirants, agents and members of the Election committee (SUELECO) are enjoined to tow the path of peace and honour before, during and after the election period.
"Furthermore, all part-time students are advised, in their own interest, to steer clear of the campus on Friday, 20th December, 2019.
"Management warns that, anyone, who violates the election rules & regulations shall be prosecuted", he said.
However, the positions up for voting includes President, Vice President, General Secretary, Assistant – General Secretary, Public Relations Officer, Deputy Public Relations Officer, Welfare Director, Sport Director, Financial Secretary and Treasurer.
