The Interim Students’ Representatives Council (ISRC) has debunked rumours claiming that the Students’ Union election will hold on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
The rumours peddled via social media platforms including Whatsapp and Facebook on Friday also stated that the Manifesto will hold on Tuesday, March 14th.
Clerk of the House, Daniel Oshobusola said the date has not been decided yet. He confirmed to Press Club MAPOLY that the Students Union Electoral Council (SUELECO) will determine the date.
He also said the SUELECO which is saddled with the responsibility of determining the election date has not been inaugurated.
Oshobusola who confirmed the election will hold in also said the SUELECO will be inaugurated on Tuesday.
The Clerk however said the budget of the election was ratified today during plenary.
