Multi-award Winning Journalist, Kabir Advises Campus Journalists to Learn Basics

A multi-award winning investigative journalist, Adejumo Kabir advised campus journalists to learn the basics of journalism before aiming for the money.

Mr Kabir, who gave the advice on Friday, posted on Twitter why it is best for young journalists to acquire first principles of the profession.

The director, Campus Press Hub, Mr Kabir noted that young journalists should have quality reports before applying for grants.

He tweeted on his Twitter handle, Adejumo Kabir A. thus: "Campus journalists need to take their time to learn the rudiments of the profession before applying for grants.

"Money is important but they must also be patient enough to know that it comes with a credible history of good reports."

Kabir Adejumo was once a campus journalist at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
