NAOSS CUP: AMACOS Sets Record Straight, Wins Tournament Unbeaten

The Association of Mass Communication Students, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, has again set the record, winning the 2025 National Association of Ogun State Students departmental Cup edition without being defeated throughout the tournament.

Giving a shocking end, AMACOS team came out on top, staying unbeaten from the group stage all the way to the final.

The highly anticipated final match, held at the campus sport complex on Monday, between AMACOS and it’s opponent, the department of Art and Design.

Hopes were almost lost at the finals after a 90 minutes intense play resulted in no goals from both sides but mere efforts.

Alas, the penalty shootout was a rollercoaster of emotions, gripping the hearts of players and supporters.

A total of 21 players from both sides stepped up to the spot, with each kick carrying the weight of their department’s pride. Mass Communication’s goalkeeper made two stunning saves, while Art and Design’s players fought as well, striking the post twice.

AMACOS won with 15 goals while Art and Design got 13 goals from the penalty shootouts.

This historic win marked Mass Communication’s first NAOSS Cup win, adding their name into the tournament’s legacy.

Art and Design, though defeated, earned respect for their performance, making the NAOSS Cup 2025 final a memorable showcase of talent and passion.

NAOSS leaders present at the match are Comrade MVP Owoeye, Sen.Prince Sarafadeen Sopitan, Adeniran Ibrahim, Leadfit amongst others graced the event.
