The National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) Chapter, has celebrated its 28th Anniversary in grand style, reaffirming commitment to promoting cultural heritage, ethical leadership, and youth development.
The celebration, themed “Cultural and Religious Values: A Foundation for Ethical Leadership,” held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Oke-ilewo Abeokuta, Ogun State .
The event attracted an array of dignitaries, student leaders, and youth advocates from across Ogun State and beyond.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Comr. James Olanose James, Vice President, NAOSS National; Comr. Olaosebikan Ayobami Solomon (Falz), former President, NAES MAPOLY; Adeniran Ibrahim, Special Adviser on Students Affairs to Hon. AFUAPE; and Sen. Prince Shopitan Sharafadeen, former NAOSS PRO and current Secretary-General, National Association of Remo Students (National Headquarters).
Other notable attendees were Mr. Martins A. Manuwa, Guest Speaker and staff of the Ogun State Judiciary; Mr. Idowu, representative of the Ogun State Judiciary; Comr. Shoremi Akolawole, Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ogun State; Mrs. Seun Boye, Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Ogun Chapter (ably represented); a representative of the Nigerian Bar Association; and Mr. Ayobamigbe Yuzzuf Faloye, Convener, Youth Quake Hub Nigeria.
Leaders of sisters associations such as Sen. Comr. Olowolagba Abdulkareem, President, National Association of Egba Students (National Headquarters); Rt. Hon. Ademolu Toheeb, Speaker, MAPOLY SRC; and Sen. Comr. Ogunlowo Isaac, President, MAPOLY SUG, were also present alongside NAOSS representatives from FUNAAB, FUOYE, LASU, OSIELE, Representative of the NAOSS ONDO MAPOLY and others.
Delivering his speech, one of the Guest Speakers, Mr. Ayobamigbe Faloye emphasized the significance of youth involvement in societal growth, highlighting that unity and progressive collaboration remain essential for Ogun State’s development.
Mr Faloye reminded students that culture is more than tradition, it defines identity and moral grounding.
He also described indigenous organizations like NAOSS as vital platforms for nurturing leadership and civic values among students, urging members to uphold the association’s ideals with unity and purpose.
Another speaker, Mr. Martins A. Manuwa, applauded the organizers for their excellence and charged students to embrace personal discipline and leadership ethics.
Commending the organizers, Mr Manuwa stressed the need for time management, obedience, relationship-building, and commitment to service as tools for national growth.
In the goodwill message, Comr. Shoremi Akolawole, NYCN Ogun State Chairman, in his good will message commended the resilience of Ogun youths in grassroots development.
Mr Akolawole encouraged students to seize available opportunities for empowerment and civic participation, assuring them of NYCN’s continued partnership with NAOSS.
He further praised the NAOSS MAPOLY leadership for sustaining the association’s integrity and representing the good image of Ogun State across all platforms.
The 28th Anniversary celebration was more than a milestone , it was a call to action for Ogun State students to build on the foundation of cultural and religious values in pursuit of ethical leadership and societal transformation.
