The Ogun State government has commended the management an staff of MAPOLY for remaining strong in trying times.
This is coming after the institution has been riddled with crisis owing to its upgrade to a degree awarding institution.
Speaking recently at the 2018/19 matriculation ceremony, the permanent secretary, Ogun State ministry of Education, Science and Technology represented by Martins Akinsolu commended the staff and management for remaining true to the institution despite its challenges.
He charged the staff to ensure adequate entrepreneurship and equip students with relevant skills needed.
Akinsolu also charged the matriculants to gain all round developments beyond what they are taught in school.
He assured that the state government is not relenting in its efforts to ensure the institution operates a stable academic calendar.
On his part, the registrar, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Prof. Ishaq Oloyede represented by the Ogun State coordinator, AbdulHakeem AbdulHamid commended the Rector, Dr. Samson Odedina for his effort in ensuring a matriculation holds having failed to admit in two years.
He urged students to ensure they get their admission letters from JAMB to be certain of their admission status.
Meanwhile, the rector, Dr. Samson Odedina, earlier in his address, congratulated the students calling them the ‘first set of lucky students to benefit from the new Mapoly agenda.’
He however charged matriculants to shun all forms of malpractices and illegal conducts that would tarnish the image of the institution stressing that their aim is to obtain a degree that would help them achieve their dreams.
