The Ogun State Government has begun work on the deplorable road leading to the main entrance of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

This information was made known to the press club MAPOLY by the Students Union Government, on Tuesday.

The development came after the students’ union executives of the institution in conjunction with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) executives, publicly made their dissatisfaction with the deplorable state of the road known to the state governor.

According to the union, the deplorable state of the road has been a major challenge to every student of the institution for a very long time, but they are grateful that actions have begun toward addressing the issue.

The union stated that a lasting solution to the bad road will be secured before the general election, adding that it will be a major boost to the education sector in the state.

The union, however, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the state governor for his response to the students’ plea for the reconstruction of the road.
