The newly elected Student Union President of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Adelola Hezekiah Babatunde, has said that his administration would focus more on ways to ease students’ transportation and other problems.
Babatunde, popularly known as Easy, said this during his administration swearing programme at Jibodu Hall, opposite admission office, in the school premises.
The event, which held Monday, had in attendance; the Rector, Dr Adeoye Odedeji, the school Directorate of Student Affairs, Mr Olusegun Anikan, the school Public Relations Officer, Mr Yemi Ajibola, and the Student Affairs Officers.
Speaking at the event, the Rector said the technology has made the election more transparent, as it also made the election easy to control.
The new executives that were sworn in are; Adelola Hezekiah Babatunde as SUG President, Adebola as the Vice President, Kamil Iseoluwa Uthman as General Secetary, Ademolu Toheeb as Assitance General Secetary, Adeniji Oladimeji as Finacial Secetary, Olatunde Kemi as Treasurer, Bamidele Olasunkanmi as Public Relations Officer, Sadiku Titilope as Welfare Director, Afolabi Temitope as Social Director, and Adeniyi John as Sport Director.
However, speaking on the recent protest by the staffs of the institution, the Rector pronounced that the school staff has been paid a one month salary, last week.
While giving his remarks, Babatunde promised to continue his tenure from where the past administration stopped.
He also said that their concern is to ease transportation problem of the student when he was delivering his speech.
He therefore said his administration will
look for a lasting solution to the challenges facing the students.
In the same vein, the barrister who carried out the swearing in program advised the president to lead by example and shun cultism in the campus.
He also told the new administration to sign and attached their passport on the oat form and submit it to the DSA.
