Following the uncertainty that beclouded the commencement of 2017/2018 Second Semester examination, the Students Representative Council (SRC) has called on students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic to do away with false rumours, charging them to be prepared for the forthcoming examination scheduled to commence on Monday, 18th September, 2017.
SRC reiterated that the academic calendar still stands, disregarding the rumour circulating among the students.
The Speaker of the SRC, Comrade Chuks Ogali gave this assurance while speaking with PRESS CLUB MAPOLY on whether the second semester examination would commence as scheduled.
He assured that, “the examination will commence on Monday 18th September, 2017 just as it has been stated in the school academic calendar.
“Don’t listen to any rumour from any source saying that exam will not hold on Monday. The rumour is false, student should go and prepare for the forthcoming examination because come Monday the exam for 2016/2017 second
semester will commence”.
Ogali also gave reasons for the cancelation of congress the Council planned to organize for the students today.
The speaker explained that the cancellation was due to some
constitutional procedures that have not been taken by them.
“We as a union don’t act based on rumours, we need to get our facts before we act. And that’s why we are just calling for the congress on Thursday, because we just got the fact and information about all the rumours that has been circulating on campus, we just got the clear picture of everything.
“However, due to the constitution, we cannot hold the congress on Friday(today) again, because we need to have notified the management 48hours before the schedule day for the congress and we have negated that,” he said.
Ogali however did not state when the Congress would now hold.
