
The Student Union Electoral Commitee, SUELECO, has announced 22 new honourable representatives as the executives of the Students Representative Council, SRC, of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic.
This was after the SRC election held at the Directorate of student affairs office in the school premises, on Wednesday.
The election had in attendance the Directorate of Student Affairs, five SUELECO members and agents of the candidates.
According to the SUELECO chairman, Okeowo Adekola, the SRC is a body that stands as a representative between the school and the Student Union Government.
He therefore announced that Salami Ayomide kafaya from computer science ND won with 25 votes and Attu suru (HND) won with 22 votes, victor Adebayo from Accountance ND won with 52 votes and Toheeb Afolabi Olawale for HND won with 16 votes.
Also, Adesina Ayomide for ND business Administration won with 53 votes and Sulaimon olufemi Emmanuel for HND won with 16 votes, and Sorewunmi Bisola from Banking and Finance ND won with 28, Ayodele Owoyemi from marketing HND won with 23 votes, Emmanuel Oladusu from SLT HND won with 81 votes, and Faruq Bakare From computer engineering won with 2 votes.

Others are; Bello Yusuf from civil engineering HND with 16 votes, Uche Gabriel from electrical electronic with 2 votes and Damilola Adebayo for HND won with 3 votes, Emmanuel Oluyemi Sunday from mass communication ND won with 17 votes and Ibilola Al-ameen for HND won with 55 votes, Gbolahan Moruf from OTM ND won with 14 vote while TaiwoAjayi for HND won with 10 votes, Ridwan Gbadamosi from Pharm tech ND won with 4 votes and Oguntola Sunday Ayomide for HND won with 21 votes, Oke Oluwatemi Babatunde from Architecture ND won with 3 votes and Temitope John for HND of the department won with 6 votes and Babalola Fawaz Oluwatunbosun from Estate Management ND with 8 votes.
The number of position is 42 while the number of candidate is 32, 10 expected did not registered for the election.
It was gathered that 5,572 students logged into the voting system while 483 students participated in voting.
The election is based on National diploma and Higher National Diploma and there are different representative for each department.
“Only those that logged in into the voting system will be able to vote during the student union government election” the chairman said.
