The department of Mass Communication and department of Civil Engineering shared spoils in the opening match of the SUG Cup on Wednesday at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) Sports Complex.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Mass Communication opened scoring two minutes into the game and doubled before half time with Civil Engineering boys levelling in the second half.
Reacting after the game, Mass communication coach Abiodun said that he was disappointed with the result while appreciating his players for their performance.
"Well, I feel good, my team played very well but we lack communication at first, we can see throughout the first half we played good football but the second half the game was so sloppy to the extent that our midfield had to play out of position, but I hope next match we will come out strong," Abiodun said
In other games on Match Day One, Computer Science defeated Computer Engineering 2-0 while Nutrition and Dietetics defeated Architecture 2-1.
On match day two, Science Laboratory Technology will battle Mechanical Engineering in the early kick off while Elect elect will slug it out against Survey, Building Tech will face Marketing while Banking and Finance will host Quantity Survey.
