The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic has approved the Students’ Union Government due for the current academic session.
The due is fixed at N700.
In a press release signed by the Students’ Union Public Relations Officer, Comrade Akinbile Emmanuel stated that the due has been revived, and made a necessity to completion of registration by students.
The release reads, “It’s a status quo that is meant to be followed to the letter as the SUG due has equally been a gauge determining complete academic registrations for students across departments.
“We implore students to meet up with the demands so as to make registration process consistent and also ensure to keep their receipt”.
The Students’ Union also urged the students to make the payment so as to benefit from the dividends of the body.
It also restated its mission to bringing development to the polytechnic.
“Financial members are students recognized by the SUG and who are open to all forms of benefits coming from the Students’ body.
“Your interests as students and our duties as your representatives is conditioned on you making the payment of the due feasible.”
“However, we, the Excecutive in the Union, promise to operate on fidelity, transparency, accountability and be voice to the generality of students across the institution,” the statement reads.
On his part, the Honourable Speaker of Students’ Representative Council (SRC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Olatunji Mogaji implored the students to pay the due in time, adding that the body as the legislative arm will back the Students’ Union to attain its mission.
“He noted that the legislative arm under his leadership will carry out constitutional obligations and work closely with the Executive arm of the Students’ Union in the utmost interest of the Students’ populace.”
