SUG Election: President-elect, Babs thanks Mgt. as Honourable, his opponent promises support

In the aftermath of his victory at the recently concluded election, Babatunde Adeola also known as Babs has expressed his gratitude to the management for doing all it takes to bring back the Students Union on campus.

Reacting to his victory, the president-elect said that he is certain that every student is glad that Students Union is back on campus.

He said, “I thank the management for deeming it fit that the election hold. We now have a Students Union Government after series of struggles. I believe every student will be glad that Students Union is back on campus.”

He apologised to those who he might have wronged in the course of his campaign, extending a hand of friendship to them.

His words, “Those I have stepped on, those who we might have offended, I apologise. And we extend a hand of friendship to all, majorly my opponents, that we can do it together.”

In his reaction, Jolayemi Samuel also known as Honourable who contested and lost to Babs in the election said that it was saddening to lose, but stated that losing in one area does not mean losing in life.

Honourable congratulated Babs over his victory, assuring him of his support to better MAPOLY.

“There is nothing I can do because the winner has been declared. I want to congratulate Babs as the winner. It is saddening. Losing in one area does not mean you lose in life. I just want to move on with my life.

“If the elected president needs help from me that will bring progress to our citadel of development, Honourable is always available,” he said.
