The dreamers Journey by Taiwo Adeyemo

The sky may seem narrow, but it floors me with the beauty of the stars.
Seeing the flashing sky above my head,
I ponder my days and nights,
And wonder if I’ve found the way forward, but not as I thought, amidst the dwelling light.

My backyard overflows with joy and happiness,
Days filled with salt and sugar, twisting the middle of our journey.
Let’s glance back at the beginning to see how far we’ve come.
Will our path continue as it is?

The dreamer within me remains lost in her dream, unable to wake,
Lying down with illusions in a state of storage,
Forgetting the world she traveled from, not quite unveiling reality.

I hope to avoid the falling dart on Mondays,
We mustn’t lose our hopes nor our desires,
The days won’t be far-fetched, only on the mountain top.
