Telling the whole truth has become a dangerous game,
Words are weapons, capable of causing harm,
Chasing down stories brings risk and peril,
Silence is the only answer from our mute reporters.
The lines between journalism and propaganda are blurred,
Censorship and suppression have become the norm,
Glory and recognition are reserved for those who play along,
Justice and peace are nowhere to be found.
This is a revolution in print,
Where the truth is stifled
But there is still hope for a better future,
If only we can break free from this cycle of fear.
A world where words are unshackled,
Where information is not controlled by a few,
Where we can all be free to think and speak and write,
That is the world we must strive for.
