The Road to My School, by Quadri Yahya

Have you ever fractured your butt

Sitting on a tattered car couch?

The driver differs from a blind man
Though he swerves blindly from side to side

Just to fly a pothole.
O’ do not fly, o driver!
I yelled in my first year
Anytime I went to buy some books

I often wonder like other students
How remarkable the road to my school is

Once, I have a morn-mare of a dented car
That stumbled as it swerved a pool-pothole

Everyone went cold. Night before there was rain
And today, there are pools
