… ND 2 to pay N108,300
The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, Abeokuta, Ogun State has reverberated to increase the school fees of returning students.
This decision was made, approximately a month, after the school publicized that there won’t be any increase in tuition fees for returning students.
Earlier, HND 11 was required to pay only N53,000, which was the normal fee.
However, on Saturday, February 3, a development was seen on the students’ portal, displaying an increase in their tuition fees as they are now required to pay N84,000.
Amidst this saga, the institution also publicized the tuition fee for ND 2 students who are freshers.
According to the students’ portal, they are also required to pay N108,300.
Reacting to this in a press statement dated February 3rd the Students Union Government, SUG under the aegis of Adelola Babatunde asked students in general not to pay their tuition fee pending the time of resolution.
The SUG stressed the gravity “of this issue and its reverberating impact on each student.”
It therefore said that the government is trying to engage with the management to address this pressing issue, adding that updates will be delivered as soon as they’re available.
The statement partly read, Wee hereby urge all Students not to make any payment related to the tuition fee, pending the pronouncement of the Students Union.
“We implore all Students to maintain composure regarding the payment of school fees and steadfastly pursue their academic pursuits as we diligently strive for a prompt resolution within the next 24 hours.”
