Despite announcing the resumption for the commencement of the 2018/2019 academic session, Press Club Mapoly has observed the poor turn out of students within the school premises.
Following the release issued by the school management and respective unions bodies, they have jointly announced the resumption, June 6, directing all students to resume for the commencement of academic activities. This is coming after the unions had declared strike that shut down the school for weeks.
According to the release : "By this development, lectures will begin for the 2018/2019 academic session on Thursday, 6th June, 2019 across all departments for new and returning students.
"Therefore, all newly admitted students for National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programmes,as well as returning students who are yet to complete their registrations, are to do so without further delay.
"It should be recalled that the Management had approved 60:40 ratio tuition payment for all categories of students.
Meanwhile, admission process for National Diploma and Higher National Diploma for 2018/2019 is still ongoing."
On a visit, PCM noticed the quietness in school environment, few registration activities as well as the presence of fews students, lecturers and other staffs.
PCM learnt that some department had released time table for lectures as well as continue registration processes for new intakes.
However, there is a projection that students might flood the Campus on Monday being the first day of a new week to commence necessary activities.
