Valuers are important in all spheres of life – ESV Sobanke

Estate Management and Valuation Students Association, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Chapter in conjunction with The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors And Valuers (NIESV Ogun Branch) held a day career talk on "Estate surveying and valuation profession" for secondary school students.

The event had in attendance the Head, Department of Estate Management and Valuation, ESV Samson Agbato, the Chairman of NIESV, Estate Surveyor and Valuer S.A Shobanke, some secondary schools from Ogun central senatorial district and other dignitaries.

ESV Shobanke who is a key note speaker spoke extensively on the profession of Estate management and valuation,services rendered by Surveyors, where they can work, requirements to study the course in tertiary institutions and others. Concluding his lecture, he said "Surveyors and Valuers are important in all spheres of life".

Also, ESV Samson Agbato reiterated on the benefits of the profession laying emphasis on the requirements of the course in tertiary institutions. He notes that "the profession of
Estate management can change life and transform generations."

Speaking on the motive behind the programme, President of Estate Management and Valuation Students’ Association, Comrade Ajibola Akinwande, said "it is to promote professionalism, bridge the gap between the profession and outside world and add value to the life of secondary school students who have no knowledge of the course."
