The Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS) 1995/1998 alumni set has made a significant contribution to the Mass Communication Department of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic with the donation of modern studio equipment to enhance practical learning.
This was gathered on Friday , the donation includes computer systems, a projector, a conference table, chairs, a smart television, and various broadcast and advertising studio tools.
These resources are expected to strengthen hands-on training and better prepare students for careers in the media industry.
The facilities were officially unveiled by the Rector, Arc. Dr. Babatunde Adekoyejo Jolaoso, in the presence of senior staff and department members.
He described the gesture as a commendable effort, praising the alumni for giving back to the institution that contributed to their academic growth. He also wished them continued success in their endeavors.
In his welcome address, the Head of Department, Wasiu Olawale Tejuoso, highlighted the importance of well-equipped studios in developing industry relevant skills among students and media professionals.
The President of the 1995/1998 alumni set, Mr. Festus Olusegun Sopekan, stated that the initiative reflects their commitment to supporting their alma mater and providing students with practical experience essential for their future careers.
Also, the association also noted that the project was successfully executed during the leadership of Comrade Adedayo Abayomi Onifade (Hadex), under whose administration it was completed.
They further expressed appreciation to the Association of Mass Communication Graduates (AMACOG) for its support in improving the department and creating a more conducive learning environment.
The donation represents a major step in bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical media production, positioning the department for improved academic and professional outcomes.
