AMACOS Unveils State-of-the-Art Projects, Sets Bar High for Future Leaders

The Peaceman-led executive of the 2023/2024 academic session has left an indelible mark on the Department of Mass Communication, as they unveiled a trio of innovative projects that will elevate the student experience.

At the unveiling ceremony, attended by the head of department 2023/2024 Mr Lekan Togunwa, the Director of the School of Communication and Information Technology Dr Sina Aina, the newly appointed Head of Department, Dr. Wasiu Tejuoso, the school officer Mr Olumide and Mr Adefolakan, the Peaceman-led team showcased their flagship projects.

The event saw the launch of the AMACOS Garden, a serene green space designed to provide students with a peaceful retreat.

The garden which has been demarcated and is open to future executives to continue its development.

Additionally, the team unveiled a sleek signage board, expertly crafted to create a distinct identity for the department.

In another significant development, the Peaceman-led executive renovated the AMACOS statute, giving it a fresh new look, and revamped the AMACOS Secretariat, providing a more conducive environment for students.

The Director of the School of Communication and Information Technology, Dr Sina Aina in his keynote address, commended the Peaceman-led team for their vision and dedication. He urged the incoming administration to build upon the legacy established by the outgoing team.

Speaking at the event the President of the association COMR Afolabi wasiu expressed his gratitude to the students for their unwavering support throughout his tenure.

He also promised that the souvenir, currently in production, will be ready soon, and reminded students to collect their ID cards from the AMACOS Secretariat on Monday.
