I was no one before MAPOLY Students supported me – Zlatan

On Wednesday, popular Nigerian artist, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, took to his Instagram page to mark a significant milestone in his music career.

Ibile, who’s a former student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) announced that today, [29/05/2024], marks exactly 10 years since he began his journey in the music industry.

Zlatan, who rose to fame in 2017 with his hit single “My Body” featuring Olamide, expressed his gratitude to the students of MAPOLY for their unwavering support throughout his career.

He won the Airtel-sponsored One Mic talent show held in 2014 at Moshood Abiola polytechnic

In his Instagram post, he wrote: “10 years ago, there was no zlatan ibile. All there was, was an aspiring footballer. Mapoly students believed in me by ensuring I won this contest!”

“From then, everything changed from football to music. Thank you to MAPOLY students who stood by me, can’t believe today makes it 10 years already and we’re still going strong.”

Zlatan’s announcement has therefore generated excitement among his fans and former classmates, who have taken to social media to congratulate him on this achievement.
