The Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta MAPOLY, celebrates a respected academic and registered Town Planner, TPL. Soliu Oladunjoye Arowosegbe, on the occasion of his retirement from active service and his 65th birthday.
The celebration is in honour of his retirement as the Acting Director, School of Environmental Studies (SENVS), a position he held until his exit from service in June 2024.
TPL. Arowosegbe is being recognised for his outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the institution, having served diligently for over 29 years in various leadership and committee roles.
He joined the then Ogun State Polytechnic (now MAPOLY) in July 1995 as a Lecturer III in the Department of Town and Regional Planning and rose through the ranks to become a Principal Lecturer.
“TPL. Arowosegbe, fondly known as ‘Baba Aro,’ has been a pillar in MAPOLY’s academic and structural growth,” the Management stated.
Throughout his career, he served in different capacities, including as Chairman of various committees and Director in key areas such as Transport, Research,Space utilization, and Physical Development, while also contributing to academic scholarship through research presentations and publications.
With several academic publications and notable leadership achievements to his credit, the Management wished him good health and continued success in the next chapter of his life.
