MAPOLY Mass Comm Elects Shopeyin Okikiola as New AMACOS President

Students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in the Department of Mass Communication have elected Shopeyin Okikiola Adam, popularly known as Kiki, as the new president of the Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS) for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Kiki emerged as the winner on Friday, as declared by the AMACOS Electoral Committee (AMEC), after concluding the departmental electronic election. He had a total of 330 votes, defeating Adeyemi Enitan Adetoro, who had only 4 votes.

With 429 accredited voters, only 355 candidates voted for the new departmental executives.

For the Vice president 1, Olabamerun John, emerged having the total vote of 307 and the Vice President 2, Razaq Quadri Olawale also having the total of 300 votes.

Having two contestant for the post of the treasurer, Adepeju Barakat Adedapo won with the total vote of 117 while Olaitan Boluwatife loose with total vote of 115.

Liady Sodiq Damilare know as OSL emerged as the General Secretary with total vote of 309 while Abe Oluwaferanmi known as F Gold emerged as the Assistant General Secretary with vote of 299

Also, for the post of the Public Relation Officer, Ajokanle Festus known as Hayjay won with a total vote of 284 defeating Adeyeno Taiwo who has just 24 votes and for the Deputy Public Relation Officer, Adetona Ramadan also won with 192 votes while Mathew Viwanu Piponsuhu popularly know as Mc Match looses with 120 votes.

Akanni Mujidat, secured the Financial Secretary post with 310 votes, and Akapo Samuel known as Pace setter also took the post of the Social Director with 317 and Obasuyi Boluwatife Violet as the new Liberian with a total vote of 302.

Furthermore, two contestants for the Deputy Liberian, Bello Maryam Bisola and Olufemi Segun Samuel where Bisola Secured the position with a total vote of 317 defeating Samuel who had 302 votes.

Abatan Timilehin known as Sir Abat 295 emerged as the Sport Director while Adewole Joseph known as fortune looses with 17 votes.

Also having two aspirants for the post of the Welfare, Hamnah Damilola Yusuf known as Peace Of Mind and Bashiru Zainab Olamide took the race where Peace Of Mind Secured the position with the total vote of 209 defeating Zainab who had 109 votes.
