After nearly a decade of delays, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, will finally hold its long-anticipated 15th convocation ceremony on June 24, 2025.
The confirmation was made on Saturday by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Yemi Ajibola, in response to an inquiry by Press Club MAPOLY (PCM).
Ajibola stated that the convocation will celebrate graduates from the 2015/2016 to 2023/2024 academic sessions, marking their official passage from students to alumni.
Many of these graduates have waited several years to be formally recognized, and come June, that wait will finally be over.
This will be MAPOLY’s first convocation since 2016, following years of institutional challenges and administrative setbacks that stalled the ceremony.
The event is expected to draw dignitaries, past and present students, as well as family members and friends eager to witness the long-overdue celebration.
Further details, including procedures for participation and academic gown collection, will be released in the coming weeks.
Graduates are strongly advised to monitor the school’s official website and social media channels for timely updates and announcements.
